AT WHIRLWINDS SPEED ACADEMY
At Whirlwinds Speed Academy, we believe that speed and agility are most important skills that athletes must develop to get to the next level. To reach this goal we have implemented the training programs and concepts of Parisi Speed School which has been training youth athletes since 1992. Below are the classes we offer to take athletes from good to GREAT!
Focus: Sets an early athletic foundation
The Jump Start Program is taught by certified Parisi Performance Coaches and utilizes the most up-to-date research to build a young athlete’s physical foundation, improve their coordination and self-esteem.
Our signature speed and strength training methods are serious, but all within a fun and friendly environment to ensure the young athlete is engaged and motivated to give 110%.
The Jump Start Program has been proven to enhance:
Coordination • Running Technique • Body Weight Strength • First Step Quickness
Flexibility • Injury Prevention • Weight Loss • Self Confidence
The Jump Start program is divided into Jump Start I for ages 7 – 10 and Jump Start II for ages 11 – 12.
Regardless of the division, our Performance Coaches are specifically trained to motivate and challenge
the young athlete, while providing age-level safe and appropriate training techniques and corrections
that set a foundation for good life-time habits.
Jump Start is a must for any young person who wants to develop
foundational athletic skills that will help them rise above their competition.

Focus: Training focused on unlocking an athlete’s full potential
Elite Sports Performance transitions Total Performance athletes to their next level of ability.
This program focuses on the regression and progression of our signature speed-training methods.
At this level, certified Performance Coaches use their knowledge and experience to individualize strength training for their athletes based on their abilities and specific goals.
Utilizing either Basic Strength or Advanced Strength programming, this program builds on an athlete’s physical foundation and develops their athletic abilities even further, in order for them to maximize their potential and reach their goals on game day.
At this level, programming aligns with the focuses of Total Performance training with an increases in difficulty and intensity to promote enhanced athletic performance. These are:
Linear Speed: Parisi’s signature straight-ahead acceleration and top-speed running techniques.
Multi-Directional Speed: Agility and ability to decelerate and move in any direction quickly.
Upper and Lower Body Strength: Strength training exercises for muscle development and injury prevention.
This program refines athletes’ skills to maximize strength, aerobic capacity and sport performance. Athletes in this program will elevate their game to the next level under the expert guidance of Certified Performance Coaches.
AGES 7 - 12
AGES 12- 15
Focus: Signature programming that provides maximum, foundational improvement to support athletic performance
The Total Performance Program utilizes the most up-to-date research on safe athlete training techniques
and injury prevention as it foundation. This program uses our signature speed and strength training methods
and cutting-edge coaching techniques from certified Performance Coaches to produce
maximum improvements in athletic performance.
ELITE SPORTS PERFORMANCE
AGES 14- 18
A MONTHLY SPORTS SPECIFIC MODULE
Focus: Training for those aspiring to compete at the highest levels, this program provides sport specific training for athletes. (NOT SKILL SPECIFIC)
The Level Up program is a monthly training module for elite athletes who aspire to compete at the highest levels of their sports. Delivered in monthly group sessions that meet 2 times per week, this program identifies the skills that are necessary for an athlete to reach their potential at a specific sport and provides them with the training necessary to help turn “potential abilities” into “actual abilities.”
The program focuses on an athlete’s individual needs for a specific sport and desired improvements.
This high-level training aims to develop an athlete’s specific talents, while at the same time turn their weaknesses into strengths. Level Up has a different sports specific focus each month (Volleyball/Basketball, Soccer/Football, Field Hockey/Lacrosse, etc.) and can be added to our and of our sport performance programs
(Jump Start, Total Performance and Elite Performance) to provide a comprehensive athlete training program
or it can stand on its own to work only on specific needs.
