FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
If you have a question not answered below, please give us a call or send an email and we will respond promptly!
HOW MANY TIMES CAN MY YOUTH/ATHLETE TRAIN PER WEEK AND WHAT IS OPTIMAL?
The amount of training per week depends on the specific program, but in general 2 – 3 days per week is recommended with 2 days being optimal.
WHAT IS THE BEST PROGRAM FOR MY ATHLETE?
The best program for your athlete depends on the his/her goals, and yours. The most accurate way to determine the best fit is to contact us to book an evaluation which will test your athlete's speed, agility and power. During that time, our staff will discuss the results of the evaluation along with goals and recommend the most appropriate program for your athlete.
WHAT IS BEST OPTION IF MY YOUTH IS NOT AN ATHLETE AND HE OR SHE IS JUST LOOKING TO GET INTO SHAPE?
If your youth is looking to get active, lose weight and/or get in shape, then Kid Fit is the answer. Many of our Kid Fit youth find the “athlete within them” during the experience and go on to train in our sports performance program. Others remain in the Kid Fit program to keep themselves in good shape. Another great option is our Youth Yoga program which gives a more relaxed approach to both physical and mental fitness. Check our "Other Classes" tab for more information.
WHAT IS YOUTH SPORTS PERFORMANCE TRAINING?
Sports performance training focuses on training a young athlete to be the best he/she can be in his/her chosen sport(s). The training includes the foundations of any good athlete: speed, agility, strength and self-confidence. An added benefit of good sports performance training is a reduction of sports related injuries.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Our programming has a variety of price offerings which are all very budget friendly. Depending on the frequency and program you choose, Kids Fit classes average to $11 - $14 per class and Sport Performance averages to $14.50 - $19 per class (memberships are billed monthly). If your athlete needs to take a break during their sports competition season, we place a "freeze" on the membership until they return to training.
HOW DOES SCHEDULING WORK?
Our class sessions are 50-minute to 1-hour long. Since most youth/athletes train 2 – 3 times per week, we provide maximum flexibility for your busy schedule. You pick the days based on your availability! We even offer Saturday (and sometimes Sunday) classes. Please see our "SCHEDULE" tab for more information.
HOW MANY YOUTH/ATHLETES ARE IN A CLASS?
Class size depends on the program, but generally we follow class sizes below:
Kid Fit – 12 to 18 kids
Sports Performance – 10 to 12 athletes
Level Up – up to 10 athletes
Youth Yoga - 15 - 20 kids
DOES THE PROGRAM INCLUDE WEIGHT-LIFTING? I HAVE HEARD THAT IT'S UNSAFE FOR YOUNG CHILDREN?
Our Kid Fit and Jump Start programs do not include weight lifting, but use body weight techniques to increase strength in a safe and effective way. Athletes in our Total Performance, Elite Performance and Level Up programs will incorporate carefully scripted and monitored weight lifting into their programs. All of our strength scripts for these programs have been written and approved by experts in the field of youth sports performance. You can rest assured that your athlete will be well taken care of in our programs!
If your athlete wants to build additional muscle mass or focus more on overall strength we offer an Elite Weight Training program powered by our fitness partners at Pinnacle Athletic Center located in our shopping center. See the welcome desk for more details.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO SEE RESULTS?
Results depend on the effort your youth/athlete puts into the program. Most youth/athletes who come 2 times per week and are engaged in the sessions will feel and see results within a matter of weeks. To monitor progress we conduct monthly challenges to reevaluate athletes to see where they have improved.
I AM CONCERNED ABOUT GYM SAFETY PROTOLS. WHAT PROTOCOLS DO YOU HAVE IN PLACE?
Safety is our TOP priority. In addition to general safety guidelines, we have put several protocols in place to ensure the health and safety of our athletes, coaches, staff and visitors. Please check the "Safety Protocols" tab for more information. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask!
