Below are our various training options. Check out the details of each option to learn more about what Whirlwinds Speed Academy offers to the amazing athletes we train. If your athlete wants to go from good to GREAT, our training programs will give them what it takes to crush their goals!
ROOKIES - Ages 9- 11

Focus: Sets an early athletic foundation
The Rookies program focuses on the fundamentals of athlete performance and physical activity. Classes are designed to incorporate linear speed drills, agility, functional movement and injury prevention. The young athlete will perform a variety of exercises to help improve overall fitness, athletic performance and toold to develop self-confidence.

BLUE CHIPS - Ages 12 - 14

Focus: Signature programming that provides maximum, foundational improvement to support athletic performance.
The Blue Chips program builds on an athlete's physical foundation and refines their skills in order for them to maximize their strength, aerobic capacity and injury resilience.
This program uses our signature speed, agility, and strength training methods combined with cutting-edge coaching techniques from our certified Performance Coaches to produce maximum improvements in athletic performance.
PROS - Ages 15 - 18

Focus: Training focused on unlocking an athlete’s fullest potential as they focus on taking their talents to a higher level.
The Pros Program transitions Blue Chip athletes to their next level of ability. This program is designed for the high-level athlete who aspires to push his or her speed and agility to the next level. The pace and intensity in these classes are much higher and build off of a strong athletic foundation.
The Pros program builds on an athlete’s physical foundation and develops their athletic abilities even further, for them to maximize their potential and reach their goals on game day.

PERSONAL TRAINING - Ages 10 - 18

If you want more personalized attention for your athlete or if your athlete is preparing for a big tryout or showcase, personal training is a great option. Perhaps your athlete only wants to work on agility or strictly speed. The personal training option is a 10-session plan that is tailor made for the specific athlete. We will use your athlete's goals along with the observations from the coach and build a 10-session program that will help your athlete achieve their goals!

POWER MAX - Ages 12 - 18

Strength is a huge component of what we focus on at The Speed Academy. Weightlifting, weighted plyometrics, body weight training, resistance training and more will give athletes what they need to increase explosion and lower/upper body strength.
Our strength training coaches are the some of the best around and focus on what athletes of all sports need to be stronger. This class is a free add-on to the general membership or can be taken as a standalone of the part the Power Xtreme paid strength class.

Our strength program helps to build power for both linear and multi-directional speed. Students who take Power Max will see such a huge difference in their leg strength, first step explosion and upper body strength.
WHIRLWINDS TC TRAINING

Whirlwinds Track Club is our youth track team for kids aged 9 – 18. We have fall (cross country), winter (indoor track) and spring/summer (outdoor track) for kids who enjoy sprinting, running long distance, throwing, or jumping. The goal of the WTC training sessions at the Speed Academy is to help WTC athletes gain and strengthen the core skills of speed, quickness, endurance, and strength.
This class is open only to Whirlwinds Track Club athletes who are in a current WTC season or will be signing up for a future season. This program has all of the components to help the track athlete from any event gain the skills needed to have success on the track and in the field events as well.
TEAM TRAINING - TEAMS OF ALL SPORTS

No matter what sport it is, performing well as a team is extremely important and vital to the success of the team. While most teams do very well at practicing skills that are key for success like running patterns, various offensive and defensive plays, shooting, scoring etc., what’s missing from the training is a focus on the core skills of speed, agility and strength.
This is where Whirlwinds Speed Academy can greatly help! Whether conditioning during the off-season, getting the finishing touches during preseason or giving enhancements during the season, WSA has a training plan that can help your team accomplish their goals. We train teams of all sports and age levels.
Training can be done at the speed academy or remotely at your site. No matter where, your team will receive top-notch training that will help them get the edge over their competition. Pricing for the team training is per person for a training period established by the head coach of the team.
